Turok (Mobile) is a 2D side-scrolling shooter video game developed by Propaganda Games and published by Living Mobile, a subsidiary of Disney Interactive. It is a mobile port of 2008's Turok, the game was released alongside its parent title on February 4, 2008.
Description[]
There are ten levels, mostly following the plot of the Turok (2008) console game released alongside it. You have regenerating health and, when you die, you simply restart from where you died.
The game was released February 4, 2008. An update had allowed players to go to a site and upload their high scores, participate in various competitions, and find out tips and tricks.
Each level completion screens reveal the number of killable enemies you've killed, plus the number of dog tags you've found (there are 26 in the game). There are six achievements in the game:
- Survivor - Finish the level without dying.
- Pacifist - Avoid at least half of your opponents.
- Primal Killer - Kill your opponents with bow and knife only.
- Pathfinder - Find all dog tags.
- Gunman - Kill your opponents with machinegun or shotgun only.
- Hero - Unlock all achievements.
Level 1[]
Level 1[1] opens with Corporal Joseph Turok awaking from cryosleep on a spaceship, picking up his armour, before being told to attend his commanding officers speech. You are told you need to apprehend Roland Kane. However, the ship is shot at, causing it to crash.
After a loading screen, you are amongst wreckage in a jungle. Moving forward, one soldier disappears into the trees to search for survivors while you continue along the main path. Turok is then faced with a lone raptor, which he hides from. Another survivor is brought down by a raptor, which then proceeds to run into the trees.
Turok then battles another dinosaur, using his gun and knife, before proceeding to Level 2.
Level 2[]
The second level[2] opens with a marine telling Turok that the pile of dead soldiers were because of Kane's men - Turok tells him to bury the dead and he'll hunt down Kane's men.
Turok then sneaks up on the first of Kane's men, who he stealth kills. Proceeding, Turok faces two more of Kane's men. A new mechanic is then introduced (auto-fire) and Turok must defend against an onslaught of raptors from multiple angles.
This is the end of Level 2.
