The TRIGLAV 92 Stalker Sniper Rifle is a weapon that is featured in Turok. The T92 Stalker is Reese's signature weapon throughout the game and is also utilized by MG Snipers.

This weapon appears as a typical sniper rifle, with an elongated barrel, a zoom scope, and a very accurate reticle contained within the scope. Unlike most sniper rifles, the scope is mostly electronic and is capable of a 2x, 5x, and 10x zoom.

The weapon is a bolt-action sniper which requires the weapon to be loaded after each shot. The weapon is silver in coloration, and it also has an ammo indicator right below the scope. Lastly, the gun is also very large for a type of its caliber.

Whenever the reticle is placed over an enemy, the inside holographic lights change from their default blue to a red color, signifying that the player can shoot them.

This weapon is one of the more powerful weapons of the game. It has the ability to kill many, if not all, enemies that the player will come into contact with, with only one shot. It is a pretty rare weapon to find, and ammo is not prevalent in many levels.

When the player finds this weapon, they should use it against more powerful enemies like the Dilophosaurus and Utahraptors. It is an effective weapon against all Mendel-Gruman units as all types can be dropped with one shot to the head. It is also useful for sniping Lurkers from afar as they tend to stay on trees and cliffs in a clear line of sight.

With 30 bullets and five in the magazine, making a good use of the rifle is the designated strategy. It is not without drawbacks, however. For one, when it is un-scoped, the sniper is highly inaccurate and the bullet spread is wild. Second is its inability to work in close ranges even on the lowest scope setting. Lastly, it is highly precise, meaning that the player must be deadly accurate with their aim or miss their shot entirely.

The MG soldiers have special units to use the weapon: the MG Snipers. They will be seen hanging in the back, trying to pick the player off with that one fatal shot. They can be easily countered with small-arms fire, though.

Alternate Fire: Sniper ScopeEdit

The secondary function of the sniper rifle is the sniper scope. The levels of magnification include a 2x, 5x, and a 10x zoom. As logic dictates, the 2x zoom should be used in medium to long range combat, the 5x zoom should be used in long range combat, and the 10x zoom should be used in the wide vistas of "Heroes End" or "End of the Road."

The scope, however, also has its drawbacks. During use, the player's vision is blocked on all sides, meaning they can only view what is in front of them, leaving the player open to flanking maneuvers from dinosaurs and soldiers alike.

Ammo PickupsEdit

  • Sniper Rifle: Restores 10 Sniper Rifle Rounds.
  • Sniper Rifle Ammo: Restores 10 Sniper Rifle Rounds.

This achievement or trophy is earned by getting 10 headshots in a row with any weapon. This is best earned in "Mother Superior," when the player is defending the run down base from MG soldiers, as they will stay still long enough to grant the player a sniper headshot after exiting the MG Helicopter.

  • There is an inscription on the weapon that reads "IV.PAT.1337-KG-2582-0".
  • This is the only weapon in the game that is manufactured by the company TRIGLAV.
