"Held together more by arcane powers than by the bonds of flesh, these terrifying enemies are one of the most dangerous creatures you will encounter. Lords of the Dead have lost much of their physical bodies to decay and savagery."
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil Official Strategy Guide[1]

The Lords of the Dead are overlords of the Deadkin, drawn to the city of Araissi by the Soul Gates. In Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, they act as guardians of the graveyards in "Slaughter by the River of Souls."

These creatures appear in a much different manner than most. They appear to be zombified, with large claws for hands and sinister, glowing red eyes. They have large muscles and adopt a slightly hunched way of standing.

(To be expanded upon)

Turok 2: Seeds of EvilEdit

The Lords of the Dead are larger and more powerful than their fodder counterparts, the Deadmen. They can throw their own corrosive blood, as well as conjure a powerful ball of fire to propel at targets. At close range they attack with their large, deformed hands. Both of their ranged attacks can be easily dodged by strafing if the player is some distance away, but they become significantly harder to dodge in close proximity. The Mag 60 and Shotgun are recommended against the Lord of the Dead.

For specific strategies and information on unlockables regarding the specific Lord of the Dead in Turok: Rage Wars, see the above article.

The Lord of the Dead character is slow, but it is more powerful than its nimbler counterparts. Okay for general use but not recommended for Capture the Flag or Monkey Tag levels, where speed is important. Its constant groaning is a double-edged sword: good to keep others unnerved but bad when the player needs some time to recover.

This character can be unlocked by beating the Mantid Drone's single-player campaign. Beating the Lord of the Dead's own campaign unlocks the Grenade Launcher, upgrades for the Boomerang and Shotgun, and finally the Mantid Mites character.

The Lord of the Dead with intermediate and advanced AI is called "Maggot" and "Vile," respectively.
