A mission that turns into a rubbish gig once his ship is shot down and he's the only one left with a bunch of Dinosaurs and hard-ass soldiers. Typical. - Xbox 360 World

Joseph Turok is the protagonist of the 2008 video game, Turok. It would appear that he is a descendent of the original Turok, seeing as how both are native American and have great skills in combat, though killing dinosaurs isn't really an inheritable feature. Throughout the game, Turok's heritage will may be mentioned several times, especially when talking with Kane.

Little is known about Josephs upbringing and juvenile years. As seen in one of the early cutscenes, Joseph may have become a criminal for some reason when he was a young adult, or even a mature adult.

[edit] Recent Life

On a journey by an unknown vehicle to an unknown institution, Joseph's convict transport was stopped by Roland Kane. Unbeknownst to Turok, Kanes intentions were to illegally train the convicts into special operation soldiers for the Mendel-Grumman corporation. Upon giving a speech to the chained convicts, Turok muttered a contradictory message under his breath. Kane, however, heard this, and acknowledged Joseph by motioning to one of his soldiers to knock him out. Despite being chained at the wrists to his other inmates, Turok managed to kill the soldier with his skull. Kane realized his skill, and advanced Turok to training for Wolf Pack, a top secret Spec-Ops organization that very few soldiers were allowed into.

Part of an elite military organization named Wolf Pack, Joseph has experience in the field of covert operations and special military tactics. After his mentor, Kane, killed an innocent, against the moral obligations from Turok in Columbia, he left, and became a military soldier. During a mission to an unknown planet to capture Kane, Joseph's ship was shot down, leaving him stranded on a planet full of dinosaur-like animals. Amongst these creatures was the army of Turok's late mentor, who were determined to find and kill him, as well as his Whiskey Company squadmates.. Most of Joseph's teammates in Whiskey Company look down on him for his previous involvement with the Wolf Pack. Tensions may be high between the members, but they still acknowledge Turok's will to fight against Kane.

[edit] Revenge, A Dish Best Served Cold

Near the end of Turok's journey to find and kill Kane, Joseph was faced with a challenge, to destroy the MG Ship commandeered by Kane. After taking out the ships engines, it crashed, knocking both Turok and Kane to the ground. When they saw each other, Kane pulled out his ORO P23 Combat Knife, and when Turok attempted to do the same, he found that his knife had been knocked from it's sheath. Turok engaged in a knife duel with Kane, eventually lodging it into Kane's heart.

Unfortunately for Turok, immediately after he killed Kane, Mamma Scarface walked into the arena with the crashed ship. In the battle that ensued, Turok managed to damge the T-Rex so extensively that he was able to crawl up onto her face, lodge a grenade into her right eye socket, and blowing up the top half of her head. He then boarded the remaining ship with Slade and Shepard the only surviving members of his squad throughout the mission .
