The Fireswarm is a weapon featured in Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion. It is an upgrade to the Shotgun and is unique to Danielle Fireseed.

The Fireswarm appears in the form of a small cylindrical gas tank which sits on the back of the Shotgun. Tubes extrude out from it and form a nozzle in the middle of the gun's two barrels, presumably coating any buckshot released from the weapon in napalm.

The weapon pick-up shows that it is jury-rigged onto the gun with what appears to be a metal bracket.

The Fireswarm, like Joseph Fireseed's Shredder, is a direct upgrade to the original Shotgun. It fires five flaming pellets that fly in a predictable spread. Targets hit will either die outright from the damage or will take damage and continue to burn until it either wears out or they die.

If the pellets are fired onto a solid material, they will produce a flame that damages any enemies that are nearby. The ensuing impact against a solid object also releases a small shockwave akin to an explosion that causes area of effect damage to nearby enemies.

Its downsides are both the slow traveling of the shells, compared to the Shotgun's hitscan buckshot, and its increased ammo usage, up to five rounds per shot.

Ammo PickupsEdit

  • Shotgun: Restocks 20 shells.
