John Grimes was a supporting antagonist featured in Turok, serving as the second in command of Wolf Pack and Roland Kane's right hand man.
History[]
Background[]
At one point in Grimes' life, he would join the military and eventually Wolf Pack. During his time in Wolf Pack, Grimes would rise through the ranks and become second in command of the unit and Roland Kane's right hand man. Grimes would later teach Joseph Turok how to kill enemies stealthy with the ORO P23 Combat Knife alongside Kane.
Events of Turok[]
Terraformed planet[]
Sometime after a mission in Colombia, Kane would be hired by the Mendel-Gruman Corporation. Grimes would join with him, and together the two would travel to the terraformed planet and command the MG Soldiers. Sometime after, Whiskey Company's ship would be shot down by a S.A.M., and Grimes would begin hunting down the survivors. During Turok and Slade's assault on a MG base, John would be called upon to deal with the assault.
Later, Grimes would meet up with his former trainee, Turok, and give him a chance to rejoin Wolf Pack. After Turok's obvious refusal, Grimes would later injure Cowboy, essentially framing Turok and causing the Whiskey Company survivors to doubt Turok's allegiance. A while later, Grimes would kill Reese outside of a massive MG Base, possibly while aiming for Turok.
Death[]
After capturing the last survivors of Whiskey Company, Grimes was killed when a piece of concrete fell on him from an explosion that was detonated by Turok.
Trivia[]
- Grimes's signature weapon seems to be the ORO C9 Perforator Bow, as it is his weapon of choice when killing off the members of Whiskey.
